Mizzou falls short against No. 4 Alabama

Big news came before the game tipped off, as the team announced that forward Kobe Brown would not be available to play due to an ankle injury. Brown rolled his ankle in the team's Wednesday night win over No. 25 Arkansas. Although he finished the final seconds of that game, he did have to be helped off the court initially.

The Tigers managed to keep it close in the second half, as Rock Bridge alum Isiaih Mosley and DeAndre Gholston combined for 15 points in that opening half. However, the tides changed after the break.

Alabama's top scorers Noah Clowney and Brandon Miller heated up. Miller finished with 15 points on the night and Clowney racked up 17.

Mosley led Mizzou with the team-high 19 points, along with four rebounds, on Saturday.

Up next - Gates and company will make a road trip to Oxford, Miss. to meet Ole Miss on Tuesday, Jan. 24.
