Mizzou can’t hang on to first-half lead in loss at Arkansas

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

No. 20 Mizzou men's basketball couldn't keep the first-half momentum rolling as they fell to No. 13 Arkansas 74-68 Wednesday night.

At one point, the Tigers led by 17 points in the first half, but the Razorbacks took over the second half outscoring MU 47-34.

Mizzou was led by Sean East with 13 points and Nick Honor with 12.

After two back-to-back 30 point nights for Kobe Brown, against the Hogs Brown finished with 11 points after dealing with early foul trouble. Brown did however hit his career 1,000th point at Bud Walton Arena.

Arkansas was led by Ricky Council IV with 25 points and seven rebounds. The Hogs out-rebounded the Tigers 40-23 in the game.

The Tigers are 12-2 so far with a 1-1 record in SEC play.

Up next - Mizzou will return home for the third-straight sellout at Mizzou Arena. That game will be Saturday against Vanderbilt at 11 a.m.
