Former Mizzou wide receiver commits to Georiga

ATHENS, Ga. (KMIZ)

Former Mizzou wide receiver Dominic Lovett announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs on Thursday, just 18 days after he announced he would be entering the transfer portal.

The sophomore finished fourth in the SEC in receiving yards in 2022, as he caught 56 passes for more than 840 yards and three touchdowns. His best game came against then-No. 25 South Carolina where he had 10 receptions for 148 yards in the win.

When Lovett initially signed with Mizzou in 2020, he was a four-star recruit out of East St. Louis. He will have three years of eligibility left to play for the Dawgs.

He is one of 10 Tigers that entered the portal since the regular season came to an end.

Lovett will meet Mizzou in the 2023 season, when the Tigers visit Athens, Georgia on Nov. 4.
