Former Mizzou QB Tyler Macon commits to Alcorn State

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Former Mizzou quarterback Tyler Macon has committed to Alcorn State after entered the transfer portal at the end of November after two seasons with the Tigers.

The East St. Louis native signed with Mizzou out of the 2021 class as a 4-star recruit, but hasn't seen the field a whole lot since then.

Throughout the 2022 season, he played in a very limited capacity, including spending a few weeks on MU's scout team.

In 2021, Macon appeared in three games completing 9 of 17 passes for 143 yards and a touchdown. He also recorded a rushing touchdown and 50 yards on 13 carries.

Macon heads to Mississppi with three years of eligibility remaining.
