Mizzou’s homestand comes to an end with big win over Houston Christian

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team remains unbeaten as the seven-game homestand comes to an end with a 105-69 win over Houston Christian.

The Tigers were led by DeAndre Gholston with 22 points, 19 of which came in the first half. Kobe Brown had 19 points followed by Noah Carter with 14.

Dennis Gates' group came out firing going on a 16-point run and not allowing a single point through nearly five minutes.

As a team, Mizzou leads the country in assists this season and Saturday's game was no different. The team had 28 total assists marking the seventh-straight game with over 20.

MU had a lot of work down low against the Huskies with 62 points coming in the paint and eight dunks.

Up next - Mizzou will hit the road to take on Wichita State Tuesday at 7 p.m.
