“They are all fixable”: Mizzou hoops focusing on making adjustments

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball will play its sixth-straight home game on Wednesday night against Coastal Carolina.

The Tigers are 5-0 to start the season with wins against Mississippi Valley State, SIUE and others. Head coach Dennis Gates said his team is getting better every day, but there's still some areas they need to improve in.

"Rebounding is fixable. Taking care of the basketball a little bit better is fixable," he said. "I truly believe our depth exceeds what and who we are playing."

Grad student guard D'Moi Hodge will go into the Coastal Carolina game as the SEC Player of the Week. He averaged about 24 points, five rebounds and five assists through two games with MU. He said the award was a big honor.

"Just being able to accomplish a milestone in this conference, a bigger conference than I was in, so I would say it's really a lot for me," Hodge said. "But, I want to thank my teammates, also, for helping me get the award."
