Chiefs storm back to beat the Chargers in Los Angeles
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KMIZ)
The Kansas City Chiefs trailed at the half and with less than two minutes left to play, but still took down the Los Angeles Chargers 30-27 on Sunday night.
With less than a minute to play, quarterback Patrick Mahomes ran six plays down the field for 75 yards to toss the game-winning touchdown to tight end Travis Kelce. It was a multi-score night for Kelce, as he finished with three touchdowns.
Mahomes went 20-34 for 329 yards and three touchdowns. On the other sideline, Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert went 22-30 for 280 yards and two touchdowns, but did throw one interception.
Mizzou football alum Nick Bolton led the defense with 14 tackles, 10 of which were on his own. He also came away with a game-ending interception on LA's last opportunity to win the game.
