Mizzou football picks up 12th commitment in class of 2023

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou football team's class of 2023 recruiting class is now up to 12 players, after three-star athlete Phillip Roche committed to the Tigers on Tuesday.

The Indiana-native picked MU over offers from Indiana, Boston College, Nebraska, Purdue, and more. Roche is ranked as the 13th-best player in the state of Indiana.

With the commitment, head coach Eli Drinkwitz now has three defensive backs in his 2023 recruiting class, including Florida-native Shamar McNiel and Illinois-native Nicholas DeLoach.

As a junior, Roche tallied 46 tackles and an interception for the Merrilville Pirates.
