Mizzou soccer gets back in the win column against Florida

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ

The Mizzou soccer team managed to get a victory Sunday 3-2 against Florida to get back in the win column.

Before this game, the Tigers hadn't been able to win its last four games, tying one and losing three.

Out of the gate Sunday, Mizzou was ready to go. Just two minutes into the game, Elena Zuchowski scored a goal, plus Kylee Simmons got a second goal to make it 2-0.

The Gators showed fight after the half bringing it back within one, but Mizzou pulled away 3-2 with the final goal coming on a penalty kick from Milena Fischer.

Mizzou now stands at 5-6-2 on the season and 2-3-1 in SEC play.

Up next- the Tigers will hit the road to play at Georgia Friday at 6 p.m.
