PITTSBURGH, Pa. (KMIZ)

The St. Louis Cardinals had a last minute push Sunday against the Pirates to take the series with a 4-3 win.

The Red Birds didn't put any runs on the board until the top of the ninth inning.

Corey Dickerson started it off with an RBI to get on the board and was followed up by Albert Pujols who hit a two-run home run to take the lead.

This was Pujols' 697th career home run meaning that he has now surpassed Alex Rodriguez for fourth all time as he inches closer to 700.

Tyler O'Neill also added a homer to get the final run.

Up next - St. Louis will return home to take on the Brewers in a divisional series starting Tuesday at 6:45 p.m.
