PHOENIX, Ariz. (KMIZ)

The St. Louis Cardinals came back from a one-run deficit to win Sunday's game against Arizona, which completed the three-game sweep.

The red birds held a three run lead coming out of the first inning, however, Jose Quintana got into trouble quickly. He allowed two runs to come in on seven hits through just two innings of work. Despite a quick lead, the Diamondbacks tied it up at three runs apiece in the second inning.

Arizona eventually took a one-run lead, but both Nolan Arenado and Tommy Edman got a couple of timely hits to propel St. Louis to the 6-4 win.

Up next - the Cardinals will start up a new five-game series against the rival Cubs at Wrigley Field on Monday. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
