Royals avoid series sweep; snap Dodgers’ 12-game win streak
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Kansas City Royals avoided getting swept by the Dodgers in a shoutout win in Sunday afternoon. The win snapped Los Angeles' 12-game winning streak.
After a 10-run loss on Saturday night, the KC pitching staff bounced back with a dominant outing from Brady Singer. He threw seven strikeouts and allowed just one hit over six innings of work to improve to 6-4 this season.
Amir Garrett, Dylan Coleman, and Scott Barlow all finished the job on the hill for Kansas City with a combined seven strikeouts and just one hit allowed.
Half of the Royals' offense came from rookie Vinnie Pasquantino. He drove in a run with a single in the third inning and cranked out a home run in the eighth.
