KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Kansas City Royals finished the series in Houston with a 5-2 loss and will return home with one win from the series.

During Thursday's outing, Kris Bubic allowed three earned runs on four hits in five innings plus recorded five strikeouts.

It was a good day at the plate for Nicky Lopez who went two-for-three on the day with an RBI and Kyle Isbel drove in the other run.

Despite only winning one of the four games against the Astros, KC put up some good fights with the first two losses being decided by one and two runs.

Up next - The Royals will return home to take on the Guardians in a three-game series starting Friday at 7:10 p.m.
