Royals lose home series against the A’s

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

After winning the first game of the series Friday against Oakland, the Kansa City Royals lost the next two to finish the series 1-2.

In Sunday's loss, KC had Brady Singer on the mound for most of the game allowing five earned runs on seven hits in eight innings. He also recorded five strikeouts.

The Royals got down early 2-0 but a big sixth inning led by a two-run RBI single from Carlos Santana put Kansas City in the lead.

After that, two runs were drove in from the A's in the seventh and they took the game 5-3.

Up next - The Royals will stay at home for another three-game series against the Rangers starting Monday at 7 p.m.
