Cardinals split series in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, Wi. (KMIZ)

The St. Louis Cardinals lost the final game to the Brewers 6-4 Thursday to end the series in a 2-2 tie.

Dakota Hudson pitched four innings on the mound for the red birds allowing five earned runs on seven hits.

St. Louis started off hot at the plate with two scores coming in the first off the bat of Paul Goldschmidt.

Juan Yepez and Lars Nootbar also drove in runs in the loss.

The Cardinals and Brewers are now at a dead tie in the division with 40-32 records.

Up next - they'll return to Busch Stadium for a three-game series with the Cubs starting Friday at 7:15 p.m.
