Chiefs rookies and vets greet fans in Jefferson City

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Kansas City Chiefs were at the Rusty Drewing Grand Opening in Jefferson City Saturday to meet their fans.

Chiefs veterans Mecole Hardman and Nick Bolton were there along with the rookies Trent McDuffie and Bryan Cook.

The event began at noon but the first fans in line got there as early as 3 a.m. to meet the guys.

McDuffie says it's a great feeling to see how much love the community has given him so far. "Coming from California coming out here is definitely a very home like feeling and it's pretty special to be around the community."

Bolton says he's looking forward to the competitiveness in the AFC West this season and Hardman says the new wide receiver core is "ready to produce on the field."
