Southern Boone captures walkoff win to head to state title game

OZARK, Mo, (KMIZ)

The Southern Boone baseball team took down Marshall 6-5 in 11 innings on Wednesday afternoon to punch the program's first ticket to a state championship game.

The Eagles trailed the Owls 5-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning, but with two outs on the board Bradley Smith drove in two runners to tie up the game. AJ Evans had the game-winning knock for Southern Boone in the final inning.

Up next - Southern Boone will take on Logan-Rogersville in the Class Four state title game at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
