ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMIZ)

The St. Louis Cardinals struggled to get anything going at Busch Stadium Sunday losing the final game of the series to the Brewers 8-0.

The Brewers managed to put together some big innings in the fifth and sixth to get the game out of reach.

Miles Mikolas pitched most of the game allowing six earned runs on nine hits and finishing with six strikeouts.

The Cardinals had just four hits total on Sunday and struck out 12 times. They end the series in a 2-2 tie.

St. Louis is now 26-21 and 3.5 games behind the Brewers in the National League Central Division who are 29-18.
