COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

It was announced Monday that Mizzou baseball shortstop Josh Day was named a second team All-SEC selection.

Day had a batting average of .340 this season with a career-high seven home runs and 29 RBI's. The senior also batted .331 in SEC play with five doubles, a triple, three home runs and 17 RBI's.

Day now becomes the fourth Tiger to earn first or second team recognition.

One of Day's big moment's this season came against Mississippi State as he hit a walk-off home run to clinch the series.
