St. Louis takes series over San Francisco in dominant fashion

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMIZ)

The St. Louis Cardinals dominated the San Francisco Giants in a 15-6 win on Sunday night to take the series win at Busch Stadium.

The win took St. Louis fans back to 2010, as Yadier Molina hit a home run and drove in four runs in the win and Adam Wainwright tossed for six innings with five strikeouts. However, Cardinals fans got a treat in the ninth inning as skipper Oli Marmol sent Albert Pujols in to pitch.

In the win, Molina and Wainwright set a major league record with 203 all-time wins for a starting battery.

Up next - the Cardinals will head up to New York to meet the Mets on Monday at 6:10 p.m.
