Mizzou cornerback becomes first Tiger drafted in 2022 NFL Draft

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KMIZ)

Former Mizzou cornerback Akayleb Evans became the first Tiger taken off the board in the 2022 NFL Draft, after the Minnesota Vikings picked him up in the fourth round.

He was taken with 118th overall pick in the draft.

Evans joined Mizzou as a fifth-year senior after playing the majority of his college career at Tulsa. He finished his single season at MU with a total of 29 tackles, one interception, and six pass deflections.
