Mizzou guard becomes eighth Tiger to enter the transfer portal

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

An MU official confirmed with ABC17 Sports that Mizzou guard Jarron 'Boogie' Coleman became the eighth Tiger to enter the transfer portal on Friday.

Coleman will be looking for his third collegiate home, as he transferred to MU from Ball State ahead of the start of the 2021-22 season. He averaged about eight points per game through 21 starts for the Tigers.

The news comes after head coach Dennis Gates picked up some new names in the transfer portal. He secured commitments from top-JUCO prospects Sean East and Mohamed Diarra along with former Cleveland State players Tre Gomillion and D'Moi Hodge. Gates also locked down Northern Iowa transfer Noah Carter, Clemson transfer Nick Honor, Milwaukee transfer Deandre Gholston, and four-star recruit Aidan Shaw.

With Coleman's departure, Kaleb Brown, Kobe Brown, Amari Davis, and Ronnie Degray III are the only players from the Cuonzo Martin era remaining on Mizzou's roster.
