Mizzou falls to Drake in first game of WNIT play

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou women's basketball team could not hang on for a win on Thursday night, as Drake downed the Tigers 83-78 in overtime.

MU came out with a commanding lead, holding the Bulldogs scoreless for the opening three minutes of the matchup, but Drake's Maddie Petersen kept her team alive with 22 points.

Aijha Blackwell had a huge performance for the Tigers with the game-high 27 points along with 10 rebounds.

Mizzou ends the season 18-13 overall and 7-9 in conference play.
