Mizzou football assistants meet with media during spring camp

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou's new defensive coordinator, along with a slew of assistants, met with the media on Monday morning, as spring camp continues for the team.

The defensive staff saw a lot of changes in the offseason, as Baker, cornerbacks Al Pogue, and defensive line coach Kevin Peoples are all new to the staff.

"Trust to me is built through time and consistency," Baker said. "It's been cool, you know like I said it's only been a couple of weeks, but I think as a defensive staff from a trust and a consistency and a just gelling together, I think we've come a far way in a short period of time."

From an offensive perspective, assistants are adjusting to a free Eli Drinkwitz, as the head coach no longer has to focus solely on quarterbacks.

"Oh he's there. He's there. He's not very far away ever," running backs coach Curtis Luper said.
