Mizzou prepares for matchup with LSU and a familiar face
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Head coach Cuonzo Martin and company will meet a familiar face on Saturday in Baton Rouge, as the Tigers will face former Mizzou guard Xavier Pinson and LSU.
"I've watched film on him and he's doing a good job for his team," Martin said. "He's doing a good job facilitating for his team and making plays."
Senior guard Javon Pickett and junior forward Kobe Brown are the only two players left on MU's roster who had real playing time with Pinson in his time in Missouri.
"I feel like with us he was shooting better from the three point and now I feel like he's getting to the lane a lot more," Pickett said. "He's still crafty in that aspect and he's doing a great job of finding his teammates. I mean, he's still like the same player, but I feel like his shooting was better last year. Not saying that it's not good, but."
Mizzou and LSU will tip off at 7:30 p.m. at Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
