The Mizzou football team has a new opponent for its Week 1 matchup to start the 2022 season. The Tigers will now host Louisiana Tech on Saturday, Sept. 3 at Faurot Field.
MU was originally scheduled to play at Middle Tennessee.

Middle Tennessee is still scheduled to play at Faurot Field in 2023.
With the addition to the schedule, MU will now have seven home games. This will be the first time Mizzou and Louisiana Tech have every played each other on the gridiron.
"We worked hard to ensure a seventh home game," Mizzou AD Desiree Reed-Francois said in a release.
