Mizzou falls in first home SEC matchup of the season

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou volleyball team fell to 3-12 overall, after South Carolina swept the group it their first home SEC matchup of the season.

The Tigers managed to find some momentum in the second set, however, the Gamecocks' Kyla Manning proved to be too much. She had a match high 11 kills and one block on Thursday evening.

Mizzou's Anna Dixon and Brynn Carlson both led the team with eight blocks.

Up next - The Tigers and the Gamecocks will meet again at the Hearnes Center on Friday night at 7 p.m.
