Mizzou gives final update before kickoff against Central Michigan

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Eli Drinkwitz opened up his press conference by wishing Central Michigan's Jim McElwain a speedy recovery after the head coach was diagnosed with appendicitis on Wednesday.

McElwain will not be making the trip to Columbia for the game, so assistant head coach Tim Skipper will oversee the team.

Drinkwitz added that his team is now over 88 percent vaccinated, which surpasses the SEC's threshold. Vaccinated MU players will only be tested on a symptomatic basis. Non-vaccinated players will be tested once a week, 72 hours before the game.
