Mizzou drops second-straight on opening weekend

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou soccer could not hold off Nebraska on Sunday afternoon, falling 5-0 in the end of first-year head coach Stefanie Golan's debut weekend.

MU actually led the Cornhuskers in time of possession, but could not capitalize. Nebraska led 13-8 in shots taken and 9-4 in shots on goal.

The loss brings Mizzou to an 0-2 record in the first couple of games of Golan's career in Columbia. After Sunday's game she said she needs more from her team.

"We say a lot of the right things, we've got to back it up," she said.
