Mizzou falls in head coach Stefanie Golan’s debut

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou soccer team could not pull of the win for head coach Stefanie Golan in her Audrey J. Walton Stadium debut on Thursday night.

The Tigers struggled to get anything going offensively, as Illinois outshot them 15-7.

The Fighting Illini got on the board early as forward Abby Lynch found the back of the net in the first half. The second half of the game was all Illinois as well, with goals from Kendra Pasquale, Hope Breslin and Maeve Jones.

Up next - Mizzou will host Nebraska on Sunday at 3 p.m.
