The Iowa native finished with a time of 31:16.52. Former Parkway Central High School standout Emily Sisson won the race with a time of 31:03.82.

Schweizer already punched her ticket to the Olympics by taking second place in the 5,000 meter race this past Monday.

Schweizer is the first US athlete to qualify for the Olympics in the 5k and 10k since 2008. After the race, she told NBC Sports she would need to speak with her coach before officially deciding to compete in both events in Tokyo.

Schweizer won six national championships during her historic Mizzou career.
