Mizzou Softball Stadium in the running for NCAA Regional host site

COLUMBIA, Mo (KMIZ)

There are 20 possible host sites for the 2021 NCAA Regionals and the Mizzou Softball Stadium made the cut. The NCAA announced the preliminary picks on Friday afternoon.

It would be the first time the Mizzou Softball Stadium has hosted a regional, since opening in 2017, however, only 16 sites will end up hosting the match ups.

The SEC led the pack with eight selected possible host sites.

Larissa Anderson and company will find out if MU's stadium made the cut on May 16. Of those final 16 sites, eight will be chosen to host Super Regionals.
