Mizzou baseball drops series with Georgia

COLUMBIA, Mo (KMIZ)

The Mizzou baseball teamed fell in the rubber match with Florida on Sunday, 9-4.

The Tigers had to go deep until their bullpen, as Georgia put up two four-run innings to cement the series win. The starter, Zach Hise with three strikeouts over five innings pitched. The freshman did give up eight earned runs and six hits throughout the game.

Mid-Missouri native and Helias alum Trevor Austin hit the lone home run for MU, but it was not enough.

Up next - Mizzou will head to Kansas to take on the Kansas State Wildcats on Tuesday.
