Columbia College captures AMC title

COLUMBIA, Mo (KMIZ)

The Columbia College men's soccer team claimed its second-straight AMC title, in a 1-0 win over Missouri Baptist University.

It only took one goal for the Cougars to claim the title, as Parker Moon scored with 17 minutes left to play in the first period. Columbia College maintained possession for the majority of the match-up.

CC sophomore Carson Lindsey received the AMC player of the year award following the win. The conference also gave head coach John Klein recognition after the game. The AMC named Klein and Missouri Baptist's Jake Alvernia co-coaches of the year.

Up next - the Cougars will prepare for the NAIA Opening Round, beginning on April 22.
