Columbia College advances to AMC semifinals

COLUMBIA, Mo (KMIZ)

The Columbia College men's soccer team claimed a 2-1 win over William Woods University on Saturday afternoon. The win advances the team to the conference semifinals.

The game remained scoreless early on, however, Erik Rajoy scored the team's first goal via a penalty kick in the first period. Minutes later, Jake Totty added on the second goal of the game to make it 2-0.

William Woods did add on one goal in the second period, but it was not enough.

The first-seeded Cougars will face the fourth-seeded William Baptist Eagles on Tuesday April 13 at 6:00 P.M.
