Mizzou’s Jenna Laird named SEC Freshman of the Week

The Southeastern Conference named Mizzou's Jenna Laird as SEC Freshman of the Week, following a big win in South Carolina.
Laird is batting .439 on the season, even increasing her average in conference play by hitting .471 over the last nine games.
The week started in a 3-for-3 outing against St. Louis University, including two runs scored and two stolen bases. Then, as the team swept South Carolina, she set a new career-high with four hits and three runs scored.
