Mizzou takes down Texas A&M to tie the series

COLUMBIA, Mo (KMIZ)

The Mizzou baseball team defeated Texas A&M in the second game of the series on Friday night.

The Tigers topped the Aggies 8-2, in a big performance for the MU bats.

Helias Catholic High School alum Trevor Austin topped it all off with his first home run in a Tiger uniform, which tied the ball game up early on.

Mark Vierling ended the night with two RBI off of one hit and one home run.

Mizzou's Seth Halvorsen had the best outing of his 2021 season, with 10 strikeouts and just two runs allowed over seven innings pitched.

Up next - Mizzou will search for the series win over the Aggies on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 P.M.
