Former Mizzou star lands first head coaching job

FAIRFAX, Va. (KMIZ)

Former Mizzou basketball star Kim English will be the new head coach at George Mason University.

The 32-year-old spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach at Tennessee. Before that - English was an assistant for Colorado and Tulsa. This is his first head coaching job.

English played for Mizzou from 2008-12. The All-Big 12 standout was drafted in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft.

English scored more than 1,500 points during his MU career. The Tigers made it all the way to the Elite 8 during his freshman year when they won a school record 31 games. Mizzou won a total of 107 games during his four year career.
