INDIANAPOLIS (KMIZ)

The Mizzou basketball team's late comeback came up just short in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers lost to Oklahoma 72-68 on Saturday night.

Mizzou senior Dru Smith hit two consecutive three-pointers to bring the Tigers within three with under a minute to play, but Oklahoma was able to hang on for the win.

MU has now lost six straight NCAA Tournament games. The Tigers have not won a game at the big dance since 2010.

Dru Smith finished with a team-high 20 points. Fellow senior Jeremiah Tilmon had 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Oklahoma will move on to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Meanwhile, Mizzou's season is officially over.
