Mizzou drops senior day matchup with LSU

COLUMBIA, Mo (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball dropped the regular-season finale against LSU in a 86-80 loss at Mizzou Arena.

It was a close game throughout as there were a total of nine ties and 11 lead changes.

LSU shot 61% from the field in the second half, as Cameron Thomas and Trendon Watford combined for 30 points in that half. Thomas finished with a game-high 29 points.

Dru Smith finished with the team-high 17 points, along with four assists.

After the game - MU honored its five seniors - Mark Smith, Dru Smith, Mitchell Smith, Jeremiah Tilmon Jr. and Drew Buggs. You can watch the ceremony in the video player below.

MU ends the regular season 15-8 (8-8 SEC) and will head into the SEC Tournament as a seven-seed. The Tigers will play the tenth-seeded Georgia on Thursday at 6 p.m. in Nashville.
