Mizzou falls to No. 1 South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou women's basketball team fell to No. 1 South Carolina, despite a solid first half performance.

The Tigers went into halftime knotted at 36, after leading the majority of the game.

However, after the break, the Gamecocks came out firing on all cylinders, shooting 50 percent from the field in the second half.

Zia Cooke led the team with 15 points, 13 of which came after the intermission.

As for Mizzou - Ladazhia Williams led the team, again, with 12 points and two rebounds.

Up next - the Tigers will host No. 25 Georgia at Mizzou Arena on Feb. 14.
