Mizzou takes first match of first-ever spring season

COLUMBIA, Mo (KMIZ)

The No. 17 Mizzou volleyball team took down LSU in the start of the first-ever spring season.

The Tigers shook off the rust after a two-month layoff, going all the way to the fifth and final set with the opposing Tigers, coming out with a 3-2 victory.

Kylie Deberg picked up right where she left off with the team-high 24 kills, along with three blocks.

Mizzou will host LSU again on Sunday, Jan. 30 at the Hearnes Center, as the team will look to improve to 8-2.
