Columbia College hoops gets the Saturday sweep

COLUMBIA, Mo (KMIZ)

Both Columbia College basketball teams claimed wins over the St. Louis College of Pharmacy on Saturday afternoon.

The double-header started with women's action.

The Cougars and the Eutectics kept it close until the very end, however, the home team prevailed in a 63-59 victory. Freshman forward Mallory Shetley led the team with 19 points in the outing.

Later, the men also hosted the Eutectics in a thorough outshooting of their opponent.

Columbia College out-shot St. Louis College of Pharmacy by nearly 10 percent on Saturday, with Harrison Vickers leading the team with 27 points.

Fellow guard Tony Burks followed him closely with 17 points of his own.
