Mizzou hoops picks up first 3-0 start in seven seasons

WICHITA, Ks (KMIZ)

The Mizzou basketball team took down Wichita State on Sunday, in the team's third-straight win this season.

Cuonzo Martin's squad beat the Shockers by 10 points, 72-62, courtesy of huge performances from the Smiths.

"I don't ever take wins for granted because you never know when we'll get the next one," Martin said. "As you guys know, we've dealt with some injuries and a lot of different things and that can really take your momentum and your flow."

Mark Smith led the team with 19 points and added on six rebounds, as well.

Dru Smith was right behind him with 14 points and three rebounds.

The Tigers have a top-25 victory and one true road win to start the season.
