SEC announces schedule changes for Mizzou football

COLUMBIA, Mo (KMIZ)

The SEC announced changes to the Mizzou football team's schedule, following multiple postponements throughout the season.

The Tigers will meet Georgia on December 12 at Faurot Field. The conference originally scheduled the game for November 14, but Missouri did not have enough scholarship players available to play.

As a result, Mizzou will now travel to Mississippi State on December 19, to finish out the regular season.

Prior the start of the season, the SEC set aside December 12, as an open date for all schools to reschedule any postponements due to COVID-19.

December 19 is the set date of the conference championship game, which will be played at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium. However, teams are allowed to play rescheduled games on that day, if they did not qualify for the championship.
