Blair Oaks prepares for another state championship

WARDSVILLE, Mo (KMIZ)

The Blair Oaks football team is fighting to win its fourth state championship in the last 20 years.

Ted Lepage's Falcons squad has just one loss throughout the 2020 season, but the most important win is still to come.

"We do things the way that we do them, don't try to be somebody else," he said. "At this point in the year, you've got to be here you are. You pretty much know after 14 games who you are."

Lepage added that his team is a lot more physical than opponent tend to give them credit for.

"Everybody that we've played in the past few weeks, has been like 'my gosh you all are so physical.' I think that's the thing that I've really noticed a change in in the past couple of years," he said.

Blair Oaks will meet Maryville for the second time in the 2020 season. The first time the two met, the Falcons took a commanding, 51-8, win over the Spoofhounds.

The championship game will kick off at 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 5 at Adkins Stadium in Jefferson City.
