History expected to be made at Faurot Field

COLUMBIA, Mo (KMIZ)

One Vanderbilt soccer play could make history on Saturday, as the first woman to start in a Power-5 football game.

The Vanderbilt football team recruited soccer standout Sarah Fuller as a place kicker for Saturday's game against Mizzou.

Fuller made the trip to Missouri with the team on Friday.

The goalkeeper is fresh off of an SEC Championship win with the soccer team, but agreed to be added to the football roster in the week leading up to Mizzou.

"Let's make history," Fuller wrote in a tweet.

The only other females to play at the FBS level were Katie Hnida with New Mexico and April Goss with Kent State.

The Tigers and the Commodores kick off at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at Faurot Field.
