Mizzou down one more scholarship player; receiver enters transfer portal

COLUMBIA, Mo (KMIZ)

Mizzou football is down one more scholarship player, after slot receiver Dominic Gicinto announced his entry into the transfer portal on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Eli Drinkwitz said the team had 56 players available, including Gicinto.

The SEC requires 53 scholarship players to be available in order to play a game and Mizzou currently has 55.

Drinkwitz and company listed the receiver as a third-stringer in the upcoming game against South Carolina.

Gicinto had four receptions for 52 yards in the 2020 season.
