Mizzou women’s basketball will make room for four new signees
COLUMBIA, Mo (KMIZ)
Robin Pingeton and the Mizzou basketball will make room for four new players on their roster, after National Signing Day.
The Tigers made it official with Sarah Linthacum, Izzy Higginbottom, Kiya Dorroh, and Da’Necia Trusty.
Linthacum follows her sister Micah to Mizzou, from Jefferson City High School. However, the MU legacy does not just start with the sisters. Linthacum's dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather all played in the black and gold.
The 6-foot forward averaged 11 points and eight rebounds in her high school career.
Higginbottom comes to Mizzou from Batesville, Arkansas, where she ranked in the top-100 prospects nationally.
The guard, ranked No. 20 by ESPNW, led Batesville High School to a state championship and a state semifinal appearance.
The top-100 pickups for Pingeton is rounded out with Dorroh, a 6-foot-1 forward from Tucson, Arizona.
As the top-ranked player in the state of Arizona, she averaged about 15 points, five rebounds, and four steals per game in her junior season, ending up with an offensive player of the year award.
Trusty will join the Tigers from Houston, Texas, where she averaged about 16 points and 12 rebounds per game in her junior season.
The 6-foot-3 guard brings the size factor to Pingeton's 2021 recruiting class.
