Mizzou VB postpones season-opening matches due to COVID-19

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou volleyball team has postponed its first two matches of the season due to COVID-19 concerns in the Tigers program.

MU was scheduled to play at Alabama on Saturday and Sunday this week. Instead - MU will now play in Tuscaloosa, Alab. on Oct. 21 and Oct. 22.

"Mizzou Volleyball’s fall 2020 season-opening two-match series at Alabama has been postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests and subsequent quarantine of student-athletes among the Tigers’ program," MU said in a release.

The Tigers will play an 8-game conference-only schedule this season. MU's home opener will be against Kentucky on Oct. 28 at 8 p.m.
